Choose from literally thousands of available local long code or toll-free numbers after account registration. These numbers are voice activated and SMS, MMS, RCS and Fax enabled. These online mobile numbers are regular local or toll-free numbers and completely bypass the headache of getting your own short code number. Getting your own short code takes months and costs thousands of dollars – usually around $3,000/every 3 months for a short code.
Long codes or toll-free numbers cut through the numerous restrictions associated with purchasing your own short code and very lengthy approval process. Setting up a long code or toll-free number campaign is fast and easy. With long codes or toll-free numbers, you can also reach everyone. Long codes or toll-free numbers deliver SMS messages where short codes can’t. For example, international mobile numbers, VOIP phone and Google voice are all within your reach. Send and receive messages in 200 countries!
You also have the ability to add additional numbers to a user account. This is very useful if you have a large number of opt-in contacts, you can spread your workload across multiple numbers now instead of just 1 number. This is very useful for 2 reasons:
#1 – Currently, there is a limit of 1-8 SMS per second sent from 1 long code or toll-free number(US and Canada only), so if you have 500 contacts, it would take roughly 63 - 500 seconds(over 1 - 8 minutes) to reach all of them. If you have 5 numbers, it would take just less than 13seconds - over a minute and half. We give you the option to rotate through all your long codes or toll-free numbers when sending your bulk SMS, MMS, RCS and OTC by simply ticking a checkbox!
You can even turn this on/off for certain groups of subscribers.
Send messages from a pool of phone numbers to speed up delivery or slow it down. You have control of the throttle. Messages sent to the same person from the pool automatically use a previous recognizable phone number to create a consistent experience and increase response rate.
#2 – For long code numbers and not toll-free numbers, mobile carriers are a little more cautious letting someone send thousands of identical SMS messages at 1 time for SPAM reasons. To mitigate potential problems for long code numbers, it’s best to distribute the load of your SMS traffic, so that SMS messages with identical or similar contents are sent from as many different outgoing phone numbers as possible. This is really only a factor if you have a very large number of opt-in subscribers.
Our platform also gives you the option to buy additional(secondary) local or toll-free numbers that you want to assign to your account. Gather valuable feedback and make communication a 2-way street all from local recognizable phone numbers.
